LET’S DECONSTRUCT CLOUD TECHNOLOGY

Today I was browsing through the internet and came across a deconstructed pizza.

I’ve seen a deconstructed Burrito, but never a Pizza.

This made me wonder, what would a deconstructed Cloud look like.

Let’s deconstruct Cloud Solutions.

Today, multiple technologies you come across are Cloud Based, like Facebook, G Suite (now known as Google Workspace), Officer 365 along with other similar Online Tools.

We can deconstruct all of these tools individually but today we will focus on the technology as a whole.

Let’s break down the components of Cloud Technology first – Also known as the Cloud Stack,

The section detailing the On-Premise responsibility is everything what a Cloud Solutions looks when deconstructed.

When we look at Cloud Solutions are responsibilities are shared based on the model chosen.

  • SaaS – No Responsibility – Only use the Services
  • PaaS – Maintain the Application with no Platform Responsible
  • IaaS – Manage the O/S and everything that happens above that including the Application

In modern times, Cloud has added new terminologies to its portfolio.

Terms like Desktop as a Service (DaaS), Backup as a Service (BaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) along with multiple new terms being coined as we progress.

They all share the same basics of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS it’s only packaged in a new form delivering specific functionalities.

Deconstructing Cloud Technology can be deeper but I don’t want to go into the atom level to keep this blog easy to understand.

Leave your thoughts in the comments section, tell me what is your favorite deconstruction.
